On Christmas, my dad made this amazing turkey, so we decided to replicate!
(When asked what he did, he replied "Nothing. Just put it in the oven." In reality, there were quite a few steps!
Ingredients:
Turkey: I've bought something that looks like a tenderloin, but comes as 2 small breasts
1 onion
1 bunch of celery
Butter (thank you, Paula Dean)
Chicken broth
Spices: for this particular time, we used salt, pepper, rosemary and thyme
Slice onion and stalks of celery, enough to put on bottom of roasting pan.
Put turkey on top of onion/celery, and put several pats of butter on top (maybe even a whole stick!)
Spice it up w/ anything you've got
Bake at 350* for 1 1/2-2 hrs, or until done.
We serve w/ potatoes and a veggie, but it's really good with anything!
