Greg signed up to do his first half IronMan in Racine, Wisconsin.
The day before the race: sun was shining everyone was smiling, and life was good.
The day of the race: severe storms with lightning, thunder, and torrential downpour. Because of the weather, they canceled the swimming portion of the race, cut the biking down almost in half, and had the full 13 mile run.
With all of the factors, Greg was unable to finish his race. He was very disappointed, but did the right thing by listening to his body and stopping before he got really hurt.
Even though he didn't finish the to, he's still our winner!
In the meantime, the girls and I went to the jelly belly factory, and spent the day at the beach. Even though the weather was not ideal, they still had a wonderful time playing!
