Apples apples everywhere!

Just a little down the way is our favorite apple orchard, Minnesota Harvest.  It's been our favorite fall activity since Piper was born!

We even ran into our friend, Maeve!

Piper's 1st day of kindergarten!

The pictures may be blurry, but I had something in my eye...

First day for this special kindergartener!

We found this book over the summer.  It gave me the idea to get Piper & I a necklace to remind her that I'm always thinking of her.  Her's is a small heart, and mine is the bigger circle with a heart punched out.

It wasn't our first day at Mia's, but it was a great day!

Oh poop 💩

Reagan dear, you are something else.
Shortly after we returned from Wisconsin Dells, Reagan looked at us one night, with a very shocked look on her face. She said "I swallowed a coin!" And we knew she wasn't kidding. After talking with the nurses line, who tries to freak you out with every worst case scenario oh, we noticed you were acting just fine so we decided to wait a few days to see if it came out.
After a week of poop inspection, we went for an x-ray. Dr. Bodine and told us most coins and objects pass without ever seeing them, and so we were fine.
After the week we had with returnifrom vacation and the car accident, I was DONE.
One of my January mom friends saw the humor in the event and made us all laugh, which was exactly what we needed. She sent us a poop bank for Reagan's coin's. It has become quite the topic of conversation in our home.

Vroom vroom

This was not exactly in our plans for the summer, but life is what happens when you have plans.
After our great swimming day, we were on our way home and were rear-ended on 35W. During rush hour traffic, the car behind me wasn't paying attention, and rear-ended our van. The first thing I said to the girls was everyone involved was safe because they were wearing their seatbelts. This is the third major accident that a seatbelt has saved my life. No matter if you're driving down the street or across the country, always wear your seatbelt!!!
Unfortunately, because of the hit to the back, it damaged the frame of the minivan, and the insurance guy ended up totaling it out as a complete loss. So, we had to get a new van!
The girls keep asking about the old van, when we're going to get it back, and if were going to get into a crash again. We reassure them that we are safe and that our new van is great (even without the leather seats and DVD entertainment center.)
