You think you hate them, but if you cover them in bacon, they are amazing! I had the same thoughts about brussel sprouts until last fall when I had them at Dinner Club. *Note: I'm a fairly picky eater, but at DC, I eat everything (but seafood) because it's rude not to.:)
Ingredients:
1 package brussel sprouts
1/2 package of bacon
Olive oil
Salt & pepper
Wash the brussel sprouts, cut the end off, and peel off ugly leaves. Cut in half and toss w/ 3T olive oil in a plastic bag, and put onto a aluminum foil lined baking sheet. Season w/ salt and pepper.
Line up 5-6 pieces of bacon and cut the bacon into 1" pieces and place on top of brussel sprouts.
Bake for 30-40 minutes at 400.
Maybe try adding a goat cheese, or pine nuts!
Now, tell me you don't like them!
